SECRETS - GIOVANNI

SECRETS -  Giovanni Marradi

Giovanni Marradi - Musical Artist
Giovanni Marradi is a pianist, composer and arranger.
He was born as the son of the famed Italian trumpeter
and conductor Alfredo Marradi; his great-grandfather,
also named Giovanni Marradi, was a legendary poet
and composer as well. - Wikipedia

"A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe,
a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself,
his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us
to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons
nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves
from this prison by widening our circle of compassion
to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature
in its beauty." ― Albert Einstein

"You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves. Tell me about despair,
yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting --
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things." ― Mary Oliver

"The best remedy for those who are afraid,
lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere
where they can be quite alone with the heavens,
nature and God. Because only then does one
feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes
to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.

As longs as this exists, and it certainly always will,
I know that then there will always be comfort
for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be.
And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles."
― Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl

"Landscapes of great wonder and beauty lie under our feet
and all around us. They are discovered in tunnels in the ground, the heart of flowers, the hollows of trees, fresh-water ponds, seaweed jungles between tides, and even drops of water. Life in these hidden worlds is more startling in reality than anything we can imagine. How could this earth of ours, which is only a speck in the heavens, have so much variety of life, so many curious and exciting creatures?"
― Walt Disney Company

ODYSSEUS - THE KING OF ITHACA

THE KING OF ITHACA

Odysseus, a Greek hero, he was
a leading figure in the epic Poem
The Odyssey, attributed to Homer.
Odysseus was the king of Ithaca,
He was the son of Laertes and Anticlea,
husband of Penelope, and father of Telemachus.

The Odyssey is the famous story of Odysseus'
His return home at the end of the Trojan War.
Odysseus fought very hard for ten years
in the Trojan War before inventing the idea
of the wooden horse - he was a talented man.

Odysseus incurred the wrath of Poseidon
for blinding Poseidon's Cyclops son Polyphemus,
in revenge it took Odysseus another decade
he arrived almost perfectly on time
to drive Penelope's suitors out of his home.

Penelope did not give up hope waiting
for her husband to return safely to her,
he is finally returning as a beggar,
conquering all the suitors with one shoot
of the arrow, the suitors had to leave.
Odysseus and his crew finally returned
to Ithaca from the Trojan War. The Odyssey
epic story covers a decade's worth of adventures.

Separate Ways - Richard Blum, Nadia Cripps and Michael Karns

Separate Ways

to remember sadness
the outrage the madness
the words said, as if in passing
so much for ever lasting

head bowed, what was that
excuse me c'mon take that back
am I hearing things again,
oh no not the line about friends

can we go our separate ways
say goodbye to our special days
stomp out the spark, once and for all
let new actors adorn the stage

may as well get a license for a parade
play that trumpet till the moon fades away

I guess time will wink and grin
love is a game, very few can win
so wave your hand and blow a kiss
cause sometimes when you bet on a wish

can we go our separate ways
say goodbye to our special days
stomp out the spark, once and for all
let new actors adorn the stage

"Dedicated to Richard Blum/Rittmo' who sadly passed away
this year. Richard created this beautiful lyric in 2011.
He never had a chance to hear this song as I only saw
his lyric after he passed away..."
